A lifelong science fiction fanatic, E.M Rensing still managed to surprise her family when she decided to pursue a commission in the U.S. Air Force. She graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2008, and enjoyed a 13 year career as a Cyber Operations Officer. Her military service took her around the world, from the bright lights of Asia to the depths of half-forgotten Air Guard bases.
As a writer, she draws on her educational and technical background, as well as her experiences as an officer, to craft truly unique science fiction. Her debut novel, The Lighthouse of Kuiper, was published in November 2022. When not writing, she enjoys sewing, theorectical physics, and raising the next generation of little readers. E.M. Rensing lives with her husband and daughters in south Texas.
